Drawings

1. The difference between a two-dimensional sketch and an isometric drawing is you can see much more information and get a scale of the object with an isometric drawing, while a two-dimensional sketch only gives the information on one side of the object.

2. Designers use shading because it adds depth to the drawing; also it gives information to where the light is coming from and the “reflectiveness” of the object’s surfaces.

3. If you were not given isometric paper, then you could try your best to estimate the angles or maybe use a protractor. Also you could draw two diagonal lines in a “V” shape as reference.

Our new design of the cup mostly centers around the iphone/itouch dock embedded in the cup. Different iOS apps regulate different features of the cup, including the temperature, mini-microwave, and instant coffee maker, with more apps and features coming. Five rechargeable lithium-ion batteries provides the power for the mini-microwave, which both can be used to keep the contents of the cup warm and heat up cold drinks. The solar panel lid can charge up the batteries whenever sunlight is present, otherwise the included wireless charger makes charging the cup both easy and convient without the need of tangled cables. The casing on the cup is made from a special triple layer titanium-alloy that’s light, scratch-proof, microwave safe, and almost impossible to break. The hand grip is tempur-pedic that molds to the shape of the user's hand and serves as an excelent insulator. Finally, the cup can be customized to show your favorite design on the titanium casing, whether it be your favorite althete or singer, or a loved family member. Order now to get your own iCup at a discounted price of only 3.99$(5000$ shipping fee not included

Reflection: Also, what went well about our project is that once we decided on the overall theme of the cup, everything else kinda fell into place, like the name "iCup." Some things I would have done differently would have been to create a more colorful poster instead of a pencil sketch. I really liked this project because I feel liked it introduced the concept behind engineering, to come up with creative ideas to make something better.
